T
he medical director, Dr. Lucy Amaniyo is a pediatrician who has worked with children for the last 10 years. Upon completion of her internship in 2013, she was retained by Mulago hospital as the Medical Officer in charge of the Special Care Unit and later the Sickle Cell Clinic. Dr. Lucy holds a Bachelor’s of Medicine and Surgery, a Master’s degree in Public Health, and a Master’s degree in Pediatrics and Child Health, all from Makerere University. She is the recipient of the prestigious Department of Pediatrics electives program at the University of Minnesota.

Her experience in hospital management started as far back as 2016 when she started Dr. Lucy’s Medical Clinic Nakasajja, a medical facility that was solely started to provide quality medical services to an undeserved community.
